nobody seems to be asking a really important question: The game requires you to stream full-length live action TV episodes which are essential to the story and overall gameplay experiance. Is that content included with this release?
I don’t think the episodes are included, because during the game it says that I must go with steam and the real espisodes to continue to play.

Don’t listen to any of these assholes saying that the episodes are included here: They’re not! This is what kept me from BUYING the game in the first place because believe me,one day those servers that contain the episodes will go down or simply be used for something else, and then you’ve got an incomplete story on a really buggy game. I’m running this game @ 1080p on an i7 4790k with standard turbo boost @ 4.4ghz with a MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X Gpu in OC mode and 32gb Corsair Vengeance Pro @ 2400mhz, and the game still does not run smoothly! My system is capable of running way better looking games at 4k smoothly but this game is terribly optimized(the game menu literally uses 60% of my CPU, WTF!)

It’s not difficult.
1. Install the game
2. Replace the files in the game’s installation directory with the files in the crack folder(labeled “SKIDROW”).
Wouldn’t recommend downloading this though as this is a Videogame/streaming TV show hybrid, but the TV show is not included! It’s like getting a really good book but somebody ripped out important pages that are required to understand the story.

Game is complete including live series chapters dont worry ,if it comes up with a dll error its usually solved by installing c++ redistributable.

When I starts up it, it shows me an error lot of times but when I close it, it works correctly.
The problem is, when I start to play, everything works excepts walk, I can´t walk with nothing, controller or keyboard (Joystick or w,a,s,d) and, I dont know what can I do….
Once again this does not contain the live action episodes- those have to be streamed online, or skipped in order to continue the game. There doesn’t seem to be any plans for the game to be patched to watch these episodes offline at the moment, maybe somebody will be able to mod the game to do so(doubt they would though). I mentioned earlier that this game does not run smoothly on an i7 4790k and GTX 1070, it turns out the game does run smoothly, but the game has an annoying motion blur that cannot be turned off which makes movements look like micro-stutter.
For those having problems with missing api-win-crt dll´s these are visual c++ files and can be fixed by running the vcredistx64/x86 (depending in you have a x64/x86 based operating system). If, on the other hand, you get an error when running vcredist (some x000.. error) you are missing some Windows 8.1 updates (mainly KB2919355 or something like that). This link helped to solve my problem:

The only file I “open” instead of “save as” was clearcompressionflag.exe because I feared there was no associated application to run it, and this is the first file to run.

After having installed all updates go and try to run vcredist2015 again (available on the game´s Redist folder) – it should no longer show that x000 error in the end anymore. If so, your missing api-win-crt dll´s are all sorted out… hopefully :)
Some say this game is a crap but from what I have played it seems a pretty decent game. A sort of Max Payne thriller :P

I am back again to let you guys know that the game crashes when I try to stream the live action episodes,this is probably due to the fact that the game is cracked(the game will crash if it trys to connect to the internet)- tested this on 5 completely different gaming rigs and I got the same result on all systems.

Have you tried to unplug your controller before starting the game? Sometimes Joystick and keyboard conflict with each other.
Yes, I already try everything, plugged, unplugged, only the keyboard, erease it and intall it again… Nothing works… Looks like some method anti-pirathy because every other kind of stuff works perfectly, excepts walk
Huummm… I don´t think that´s it m8. Few days ago a friend of mine had similar problems with original BF4 as we were online and he was telling me he simply couldn´t move. Turns out it was due to a Windows 10 automatic update. The solution? He had to format his PC :/

Live episodes will stream on windows 7, but game crashes on windows 10! Thank God I have a dual-boot system! This needs to be fixed asap!

@kundede good point! lots of steam users are complaining about this issue- some people on windows 7 are fixing this problem by upgrading to IE11(which inexplicably fixes the problem). IE11 is not available on Windows 10, so a patch/update is needed. But I’ve said this many times already, none of these problems would exist if they just made the episodes available in offline mode(stored on the local disk instead of being streamed from the internet). That whole excuse about the episodes being too big is pure BS, the video can be compressed to a reasonable size and most pc gamers have gigantic HDD’s that could easily accommodate their “too big for pc” episodes anyway. I guarantee the servers that host those episodes will go offline in the next couple of years if we’re lucky(might go offline sooner if we’re unlucky).
@Danny_Howl Try giving the main game folder Admin Rights, or give the game’s executable s Full Admin privilege, I had the same issue and was getting write error codes from Remedy, and also block the exe’s in your firewall, don’t just install game and crack. In order for the game to detect KB And Mouse, the game needs to have write permission first.

I don´t really understand why people go to a new OS when the previous was fully functional and fully supported by every developer. I mean, I understand the DX12 hype but that isn´t yet standard and the advantages of adopting it are still to come.

@get_bent you can easily watch the videos at youtube.com, so not really a big issue.
@realchris not really, because choices you make in-game affect scenes in the episodes, eg. a choice made in junction 3(episode 3) will determine the fate of a character AFTER the choice made in junction 4(episode 4). Also interacting with certain objects in-game will create a ripple effect in the show,eg. solving an equation in-game causes characters in the show to make references to the solved equation(if you don’t solve the equation then there won’t be any references to it)…
Anyways I got a dual-boot (Windows 7 Ult/ Windows 10 Pro) system, the show works fine on Windows 7, which is funny considering that this game was originally conceived to be a Windows 10 exclusive.
Just to be perfectly clear. I cant recommend that anybody watch the show on youtube, because your choices in the game affects the events in the show. This means that in order for the show to make sense, you have to make the same choices as the person who uploaded the episodes to youtube (this also takes away the freedom to make you own choices).
I just saw a modded Codex release that includes the episodes offline. The videos are uncompressed and multi-lingual @1080p, which makes the entire thing(show+game) 104GB.
I’ll see if they released the episodes only that can be added to this release(fingers crossed).
No luck on that codex release. Looks like I need an upgrade from my current ISP, in order to keep up with modern games. I miss the good old days when you just needed to have good hardware to play AAA games. It started with a simple online activation when you installed a game, now a game is unplayable(The Division) / incomplete(Quantum Break) unless you have a consistant internet connection. On a side note, I also made the mistake of buying a physical copy of Mortal Kombat X which does not contain the game on disc, it just opens an installer that connects to the internet which proceeds to download a 30GB game! Why do developers naturally assume gamers have unlimited internet bandwith?
@get_bent I see your point, but seriously, its not a big deal its free after all and also, on YouTube, they have different selections of the videos, all videos and decisions, just have to choose the decisions you made and do your research, not hard if you can download this game then you can do that on YouTube, anyways.
@RealChris I’m not disappointed with the release, infact the game runs smoother than original because it’s DRM free. The crash issue is due to a compatabilty issue with Windows 10, that will be patched eventually.
While playing on Windows 10 I watched the episodes on youtube while playing the game. Your choices are limited the uploaders choices. I am going to avoid spoilers here, but my example from a previous post is based on personal experiance. The choice I made before episode 3 caused the death of a charactor in episode 4. The person who uploaded episode 4 didn’t make the same choice as I did before episode 3, but made the same choice as I did before episode 4. This means that the charactor survived in episode 4 but when the game resumed everybody is talking about that charactor being brutally murdered!
In order to avoid this issue, you have to either stream in-game(good luck windows 10 users), or make sure that you play the game EXACTLY like youtube uploader.

I love Remedy Games, they make the best games in my opinion(yes, they’re even better than Naughty Dog). The fault does not lie with them, but with Microsoft: they host the episodes, and refuse to release an episode pack for PC at the moment.
The bad response and ultimate failure of this game is mostly due to it’s reliance on internet connectivity,which caused a ton of bugs, and poor optimization. It’s really depressing to see a trailer for Alan Wake’s Return in the game that killed off all plans for Alan Wake’s Return. Thanks Microsoft!
I finished the game this weekend and I must tell you a liked it a lot :) There is ONE moment that could ruin the whole game experience and that is the bridge section where you have a sme-boss fight before a stuttering platform section – in wich I died a lot because the image is kinda fuzzy and you can´t quite make out where to go, so I kept falling to oblivion and it would simply make me do the semi-boss fighting again :@
Other than that is one of the best games I´ve played in the last year :) Regarding choices and their consequences, one of the coolest was when you first go to the Municipal Pool and tell Amy (the University protester) to spread a false spotting of Jack, then when Fiona is driving to Monarch she clear passes a road check because grunts were detaining someone who looke like Jack :)
I´ll be playing this game again and make the other choices I didn´t in the first place.

Seriously, that was the part that made me start a second playthrough immediately , because I thought that I could somehow prevent it from happening by changing my choices.
:) LoL… I didn´t… and I´m being honest. Regrets though, yes… I regret one death by the hands of Martin Hatch :P (not a spoiler is it?!) and another death but I think that one is pratically impossible to avoid (as it probably will launch Quantum Break 2).
I will definetly play a second time :)
No it’s not a spoiler(That death was unexpected, I’m glad I fixed that one). The odds of a sequel is very unlikely, this game is largely considered to be a flop commercially. In fact, it’s been rumored that the deal between Remedy and Microsoft has soured, meaning that we won’t play the Alan Wake sequel we deserve, or the Quantum Break sequel that would tie up the loose ends. Remedy is currently working on the story mode for the sequel of a Korean FPS(can’t remember the title, check Google), and has teased us with the possibility of assisting Rockstar Games with an unconfirmed Max Payne 4(this would be a gamer’s wet dream: the gameplay mechanics of Max Payne 3 from Rockstar combined with the powerful storytelling from Remedy who did Max Payne 1+2).

I install fitgirl version It has 3 crack in it. skidtrow, ali and 3Dm which crack works with it. It’s in No dvd folder.
So, I finally got a mod that can be applied to this release that allows me to watch the TV show offline. Look for the fitgirl live series addon if you’re interested. It is a selective download @ under 55gb. After it is installed and added to the game the total size (TV show+game) is about 160gb, but it works flawlessly and the quality is fantasic (1080p+multi channel audio). I also discovered the blurry graphics can be sharpened if you disable the upscaling in the graphics options(however if you got a weaker graphics card, you may see a big drop in your FPS).
When installing the update what directory should I download it to? The same as the one the game is in?
