INSTALLATION GUIDE:
– Download the game files below links and the certification file.
– Open Powershell and type in these two commands, by changing the paths to the correct ones:
Certutil -addStore TrustedPeople “c:\PATH_TO_KEY\MyKey.cer”
Add-AppxPackage “C:\path_to_app\forza_14.2.appx”
– Install Visual Studio Community 2015 with the C++ packages.
– Extract IH.7z and run the RUNME.bat
– Copy this file to your Windows\System32 folder.
– Now Run the RUNME2.bat as Administartor
– Open the Xbox Live app, create a dummy account, and set it to login only for the XBL app.
AIO UPDATE GUIDE:
– your installed 14.2 files are in the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.OpusPG_1.0.14.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe folder.
– Rename that folder to whatever you want and put it wherever you like. (You HAVE to either rename or move it or both to continue)
– If you have problems with that, run this in a cmd and try again: takeown /f “C:\Program Files\WindowsApps” /r /d y
– So this renamed folder is now your “extracted forza 14.2 appx”.
– Aferwards, run this in admin POWERSHELL: Remove-AppxPackage Microsoft.OpusPG_1.0.14.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
– Then extract the AIO Update files and paste them over the extracted 14.2 files.
– In that folder, rename AppxBlockMap and AppxSignature to _BlockMap and _Signature respectively.
– Open Powershell and type in this command by changing the paths to the correct ones:
Add-AppxPackage -register “PATH_TO_YOUR_GAME_FOLDER\AppxManifest.xml”
– Install Visual Studio Community 2015 with the C++ packages.
– Extract my.7z without moving or changing the extracted files, run the RUNME.bat (without Admin privileges) and then RUNME2.bat (with Admin privileges).
– Navigate to C:\ImmersiveHost and replace the second line in overrides.ini with your game folder path.
– Open the Xbox Live app, create a dummy account, and set it to login only for the XBL app.

For those who write that the files are corrupted. Files are not corrupted. You need to open them with 7zip. Open the program 7zip, search the archive and extract it.

2) For me immersivehost.exe don’t stay start, it’s kill after 1-2 seconde and the game don’t start.

3) With the command ‘takeown’ you use the parameter “/d” with the response “y”, but it’s for english system. I’m on french system and the possible response are “o” (oui) or “n” (non). i have modified your file but other user don’t know that ;)

Just to let all you guys know this version of windows 10 is an old insider preview build dated back to the beginning on September. What you may not be aware of is that Microsoft from next week will be starting the process of killing old builds of windows insider after a certain amount of time after a new build has been released, the whole idea being that the Windows Insider programme was brought out to replace the old Beta testing programme that was not cost effective to Microsoft and also was not consumer friendly, and they want there customers to have the latest fixes updates and security for there OS, as well as beta testing there latest products not old.
Also just one more thing you will not get the latest security updates which will leave you vulnerable to attacks and hacks.

Ok so finally got it to work but wow what a crappy cracked game…. it wont run full screen on my 4k monitor, i finished the first race and it just stayed looking at the trees until i Alt+F4 out of the game, definitely not playable, but its a start

GUYS! I have managed to run the game! For some reason i can’t click Enter on the main menu when you start the game up. Hahah, which key.cer did you install/use? Since there are different files in some torrents. Could you share it so I can try to install/use that one? Just whenever I launch the game it tells me to it needs an update and it redirects me to the store immediately so I can’t play… Enter still works tho. I always run immersive host as admin and then run forza 3 app from xbox app, then it loads up fine for me. If I don’t do it like that it crashes to desktop at the turn 10 studios logo. I have also installed dllcare with a cracked one so it actually fixes all, this made me able to start the game from xbox, firstly it showed a dll error.
@david @stijin if you manage to get it working, let me know if you get past the first drive, just after it a pickup jumps out then the camera angle just stays looking at the trees for me, just curious if its just my game. turn off internet if its asking for update and see if that works… also make sure you do the dummy account otherwise your main account could get banned

I’ve managed to install FH3 and my windows build is 14393.321 i can enter the geme but when i am at the start screen it recognizes the controller or the keyboard input but when i press enter nothing happens. Hopefully somebody can help me out!

You can only pass the ‘Press Enter’ screen with Win10 build 14936.
If it ask to update the game just disable Windows Update service in control panel>administrates tools>services. This will prevent Windows Store from working though.

windows 10 auto updated to 14946 and it now gets stuck at the loading screen, i think its safe to say its probably worth waiting for a proper cracked version rather than downloading 50GB and wasting your time trying to get it to work only to be annoyed when it only partially works

I’ve tried to disconnect internet and boot the game… Then it stops at the playground logo and crashes. Now when I try to load up the game again it crashes at the turn 10 studios part again… I can’t get past that anymore, whatever I try to do. Seems like we won’t be able to play the game succesfully any time soon…
So, I’m stupid, I’ve put FH3 on my other disk, cause it loaded my WHOLE C:\ drive, which i didn’t want to, i wanted to get installed on my D:\ Drive. Can someone tell me how to do that? Also i’ve tried doing cd d:\ on Powershell, which shows me PS D:\Users\David Instead of PS C:\Users\David. BUT THAT DOESNT WORK EITHER! IT JUST INSTALLS ITSELF ON C:\! Which is really annoying.. GUYS! If someone wants Forza Horizon 3 to be installed on another hard drive, simply go to settings and then Apps, scroll down until you see Forza Horizon 3, THEN press on it and it should say MOVE, click that and you can move FH3 to another drive! That was easy, but now i have to install 14396 version of windows.. heh..
Finally I’ve been able to run the game again, it doesn’t crash when I have taskmanager opened and press properties when you click on FH3. Only that way it doesn’t crash. So now I had it loaded up, but it still asks for an update… Pulling out network cable doesn’t work.

okay i know. but the game start and don´t crash. only in the menu. i thing it´s only a configuration setting in this windows build. Maybe in the future it gives a reason for that. THX ;)

i found out the version of my game was 1.0.10.2 and i and because of that the forza exe files closed imidiatly ( sorry about my english) i changed the name of folder to 1.0.14.2 then game started but at the first it send me an error :

For example, if I try to extract part 3, it extracts a file called “0_126_5_96.a” which is 78 KBs
Something very similiar happens with all the files. I’m using 7zip to extract them.

if your game closes after 5 sec, launch the game, then fastly change your task(like open a folder or something) then wait until it loads, it works for me, but then as they have launched a second update it redirects me to the windows store

I am having the same problem as Jon Dabur, I have been having the most infuriating trouble trying to figure out how to move the files into the folder and it is just saying “You need permission to do this action”. I have tried downloading a program to force the action to occur, alas, no cigar. I have tried editing the permissions and it seemed to work, but it failed still. I am no computer genius but looks like the files are encrypted and when I tried to figure out how to change that I couldn’t as the option in the file properties was blanked out. If there’s anyone who can help with this, Jon, myself and probably others would love a hand. Thank you!

Only works with version14963. Just Dual boot with Windows 10 pro 14936 and deselect all windows updates and prompt when on the installation process of windows 10 on your pc install all drivers to run the game.
Download and install Visual Community Studio 2015 with c++ package it should show 10 gb space required for visual c ++ before installation.
Dont activate windows.
To not get banned create two microsoft account one to log in to windows store another to run xbox app.Do everything as abc’s video shows.Open xbox app and keep it running in the background but launch the game from immersive host application located inside immersive host folder on c drive after applying update and running run.bat.
Make sure ImmersiveElevationService is running in the services and set it to run automatically you will understand once you check the video i provided above.
delete” cpprest140_uwp_2_6 ” from immersive host folder for xbox account crash.
The bottomline is the game works fine but has lack of instructions provided for bypass so we have to figure out some problems ourselves through this comment section.

Guys, DON’T WASTE your time on this! It doesn’t work. I wasted almost seven days of my precious life, and in the end, It was still not working. My advice is that either buy a cheap old Xbox one or wait for a proper crack for windows store titles — which probably will be available when we are long dead. No offence, I am just angry.

Working! Sometimes the game crashes but I think that is because the ImmersiveHost is NOT finished yet. Otherwise this works PERFECTLY FINE. You are doing something wrong if it does not work for you. It took me 6h to figure this thing out becouse I did not get it working at the first try!

The game works that is clear, however it lags pretty much because i can’t install the preformance patch.

I combined some various instructions and made it work. This worked for me and may not work for all but i’m happy to share my method.
You must have Windows 10 Build 14936 for this to work. You must also have Developer Mode enabled.
You can enable Developer Mode in Windows Settings app, update & recovery, For developers.
Install Visual Studio Community 2015 with the C++ packages.
You can check if you have the C++ packages after you’ve installed Visual Studio Community 2015 by starting a new project.
And then on the left you’ve got a list. click on Templates, Visual C++, MFC.
Now in the middle you should have 3 templates – MFC Application, MFC ActiveX Control and
MFC DLL – That means that you’ve got C++ Packages.
If you don’t have them, it should say Install Microsoft Foundation Classes for C++. Click on that and install.
I would recommend that you have all the files you will use on system drive C:
1. Run PowerShell as Administrator and type:
Certutil -addStore TrustedPeople “C:\PATH_TO_KEY\MyKey.cer”
example: Certutil -addStore TrustedPeople “C:\Forza Horizon 3 BYPASSED\MyKey.cer”

2. Run PowerShell as administrator and type:
Add-AppxPackage “C:\PATH_TO_APPX\forza_14.2.appx”

3. Open the folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps
Make sure that you are the owner of that folder.
Find the folder “Microsoft.OpusPG_1.0.14.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe” and move that folder to your desktop.
This is the game directory and you can rename it if you like.
4. Open PowerShell in administrator and type:
Remove-AppxPackage -package “Microsoft.OpusPG_1.0.14.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe”
5. Extract the “ImmersiveHost” folder from IH.7z to your desktop.

6. Copy immersivehost.tlb from the “ImmersiveHost” folder to C:\Windows\System32
7. Create a new folder in the “ImmersiveHost” folder and name it “saves”.
8. Open the AIO Update 7z “FRZUPD172.7z” and copy the contents inside the upd folder to your game directory you had moved to your desktop.
Replace files when asked. You have now update your game from version 14.2 to 17.2

9. When you have applied the updated files rename AppxBlockMap and AppxSignature to _BlockMap and _Signature respectively.
ATTENTIONT! After this point, do NOT rename or move any files or folders UNLESS instructed to.

11. Right click on the ImmersiveHost folder and untick “Read only” box and Apply and then click OK in the popup window.
Then click on the Security tab and click Edit and then Add. Write ALL and press enter.
A user called ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES should appear. Grant it Full control.
Make sure you are the owner of the folder.
12. Run CMD as Administrator and type: cd C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\ImmersiveHost
Example: C:\Users\James\Desktop\ImmersiveHost
after that type: ImmersiveHost.exe -register
after that type: sc.exe create ImmersiveElevationService binpath=”C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\ImmersiveHost\ImmersiveElevationService.exe”
it should say [SC] CreateService SUCCESS
13. Open Windows start menu and search for services and click on it. Find ImmersiveElevationService and right click on it and click start.
Right click on it and click on properties and change startmethod to automatic.
14. Open the ImmersiveHost folder located in your desktop and open the overrides.ini file.
change it so it looks like this and then save:

StateDir=”C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\ImmersiveHost\saves”
ExecutableRoot=”C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\GAME_DIRECTORY”
Example:

15. Open the Xbox Live app, create a dummy account, and set it to login only for the XBL app
16. Start the ImmersiveHost.exe file inside the ImmersiveHost folder located in your desktop. That will be the way of starting the game.
It may crash on the first attempt but if that happens, try again.
(You can make a shortcut of ImmersiveHost.exe to your desktop. You have a Forza Horizon 3 icon inside the ImmersiveHost folder you can use)
17. Make sure you don’t move or rename any files or folder of the game (inkl. ImmersiveHost folder) after this.
DONE!
I also used this online fix but I can’t be sure if it made a difference or not as I am not sure exactly of what it does, but it may help you.

Step 1: Make sure firewall is turned on. (Vital as Forza horizon will not allow online without firewall enabled)

Ok guys the game works for me with the update and everything (i had to remove cpprest140 from my Immersive host file).
But, At 1080p on Low it still lags so much its basically unplayable. When i set the graphics to autodetect, it sets it to high witch is weird.
Here are my specs:
GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 (Gainward) 2048MB
CPU – Intel® Core™ i7-4790 CPU @3.60GHz
RAM – 8GB

The powershell console does not read the spacebar and searches for “ProgramFiles” instead of “Program files” so you need to move it somewhere else. (i recommend the “Games” file)
Or just leave it in the C: Drive. That should fix the problem.
And also it’s essential to enable developer options for the “Add-AppxPackage” command to work;
You can enable that by searching “For developer settings” in the windows search bar.

I tried to register the app package, again the same error. So I removed the space between Program Files, again same error.

Its working, but… After many frustrating hours getting various errors. I gave it up as a lost cause. But I like a good challenge and decided to give it one more try and start from scratch. So I wiped the drive (this was not my primary drive) and installed all the software afresh. I followed the steps given by James above. And..nothing. Immersivehost started but quickly closed. The last thing I remember doing is copying the immersivehost.tlb file to the system32 folder a second time. Bingo! It works. Then, two discoveries. First, with my graphics setup I could only run on low settings. Second, try as I might I couldn’t get my Thrustmaster t300rs to work with immersivehost. If I plugged it in before launching the program it wouldn’t start. If I tried plugging it in after the game started, immersivehost would crash. Curious, no? Anyway that’s my experience and I hope it will be of some use to those about to embark on this quest.
1) Install Visual Studio Community 2015 with the C++ packages.
Make sure you check the box to install the C++ packages just under the base this one you have to install all ready.
this setup is very long and boring it take more than 2Hour, and here in this package is thing called MFC sources from that come all need files to run everything clear, but install all thing from C++ pack anyway.
2) Now the Key part once you enter the command line to active the key in powershell if it work and the seconde part miss never type again the command to enter the key again or you have to format your system.
2.5) the command to install the APPX make sure you type forza_14.2.appx and not forza_14.2 if you do copy past from the name in powershell if you dont type clearly forza_14.2.appx you have error.
3) the update the big prob with the update something is not explain here when you try to enter the command in powershell it say you have to be a developer. This is a windows store sécurity i thing to do not bypass the normal install from game.
you have to go in Start / Setting / Windows update & Security / for developer / and here check > dev mode.
wait everything is install restart your pc check again after the restart and enter the command line for the update.

What do i do if i have the 1.0.10.2 version of the game?
Only single player no online multiplayer before it used to work but after windows updated the game to version 20.0 version 17.2 wont work with online multiplayer.
I have the same issue as Yama. I went thru days of downloading the 10.2 version only for it to be updated to 14.2 later the same day and now there are subsequent updates. Is there any way to update the 10.2 3DM version to this better maintained version? I tried following the AIO update instructions to update that way but it all ended in failure. Has anyone had success updating the 10.2 3DM version? Maybe I just messed up. I really don’t want to download 50 gigs again if at all possible

Guys, just give up… I bought Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition 2 weeks ago for my Xbox One and now I’m not even trying to get it on my pc, cause i have it on my xbox of course.. But if you still want to try getting FH3 on your PC, go ahead and lose your time.. I’ve literally lost 6 days trying to get the game working.. And I’m not even kidding how frustrated I was, so if you want to spend your time on this game, go ahead.. I’m not stopping you, but if you guys read the comments, you should believe them..

@David The game works trust me on that one. I also had no hope that this would work but somehow it did. Although i dont suggest bothering with the install if you already have the game on xbox because the pc version is poorly optimised and the bypass doesn’t allow you to play multiplayer or coop (although you can use tungle) you need to follow the instructions very carefully and thats it.

For People who would like to remove the updated package type this in powershell with admin:

Finally got it working thanks to a “James” who posted some instructions that worked perfectly.
HOWEVER when I plug my wheel in (G920) the game crashes with “ImmersiveHost.exe has stopped responding”

Ok so in your downloaded files there is a bypass winrar.Open that and extract MyKey.cer somewhere else and use that on the first command.Hope it works,it worked on me!

ok I found out how to Add-AppxPackage -register AppxManifest.xml for the AIO, open a cmd prompt inside thegame folder where AppxManifest.xml is located, make sure the cmd folder is that of the game folder , then type Add-AppxPackage -register AppxManifest.xml and it worked

OK GUYS! Honestly you are all wasting your time!
So I too was super excited to get this game and hopefully get away with a pirated version. I tried for over a month to get the 14.2 to work and also the 17 version. I eventually gave up and then bought the game (it was deluxe edition for about $80 AUD and on sale from windows store)
Now i dont have to worry about wasting time to get it working, because it just works!
Also THERE HAVE BEEN LIKE 4-5 UPDATES SINCE 14.2. THE CURRENT VERSION IS 1.0.41.2 !!!
Each update has brought numerous improvements in terms of FPS, glitches etc etc. So even if you got version 17 to work, it is still very outdated!!!
They now also have the G27 and G29 wheels supported with shifter working.
So go ahead and waste your time trying to get the old version to work while I go have some fun in my Ford FG and clutch kick side ways every corner ;)

Actually i move the files game to another disc after could not launch the game. So i thought that i when delete all code in regedit (just phrase “forza…”). I fix it but i did not. Then i migrated game files come back to main location when i registered the manifest. None of it still not working. I can see this:
