First days of the German operation “Blau” in the summer of 1942 in the Oskol river area. The Wehrmacht 6 Army dealt a crushing blow at the boundary of the 28 and 21 RKKA Armies, forcing them to retreat in disorder to the Oskol river. To prevent the units of the Wehrmacht 6 Army from reaching the west bank of the river, the RKKA command redeployed the 91 TBde to Verhnyaya Lubyanka – the last point before the crossings near Volokonovka – with the objective to impede the enemy advance, and thus, gain time for the retreat of the battered RKKA units.

It works!
The game has a steep learning curve but if you like tactical/simulators/wargames you’ll enjoy this one for sure. It’s similar to the Combat Mission or Close Combat series (we could call it a hybrid). But it runs smother and the graphics are updated. Tutorials are there ingame, but they will only give you a glance of what’s going on in the battlefield, the rest you will need to figure it out by yourself. If you don’t have any patience and you don’t like to read manuals at all then this game is not for you… It could be frustrating for newcomers.
