Also anyone who has a problem with missing msvcp140.dll after you install the game go to the file you install it usually C:/Programm files (x86)/Sid Meiers Civilization VI open the file _CommonRedist and install all the programs you will find there (they are DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++).

@blade – Blame yourself, it’s not the game. You need to update your vcredist and your directx. Try that next time before making yourself look a fool.

Yeah, the sound in-game is garbled as fuck and too fast…
Installation works until a point when it tries to install setup-1.bin.
Then it exits saying “Decompression failed with error code -7”.

To solve .dll errors, go to ..\Sid Meiers Civilization VI\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015 and install both x86 and x64 files.
For those having the 0x… errors, what worked for me was downloading everything (DLC included) and copying every “base” folder over the install dir. Game started fine after that.

i can start the game but it won’t get past the loading on the beginning of a new game.. neither does the tutorial.
the music is playing but the “begin game” or whatever never appears.
i more than meet the minimum requirements and i dialed the graphics to minimum just to make sure.
have all drivers and c++ and dx installed…

To fix the 0cx0000142 problem dowload the RELODED CRACK and copy in the same folder than the CODEX
